Summer is the time we all like to go outside and put up a pool to have a party in or go have a cookout with our family and friends. In the summer, we also want our garden to complement the floors of our house and look green and shiny.
Before the summer season comes forth, we believe that you need to pay a little more detail to your lawn and make sure you put in all the extra effort just to make it look shiny and green. However, this can be a difficult task for many. This is why we have put together a few simple tips to help you have the best-maintained lawn this summer. - Make a plan
Like anything methodological you want to do, making a plan is the best way to approach it and having the perfect garden is no exception. We believe you should first identify the issues you face that make it the way your garden is currently. After the identification of the problem, we want you to come up with various solutions. This will help you brainstorm a pool of ideas which you can pick and choose from. Later, you can choose the most viable ones and begin to plan how you will be implementing these. Then comes the next step of implementation where you will work on making your garden better.
2. The equipment
Before you begin fixing your garden, make sure you have the right equipment you may need. For example, if you believe that your grass needs to be cared for better or you believe that the best way to water your grass is through deep watering, you need to figure out whether you have the resources for that. Do you have enough water, do you have the right hose, is the grass trimmer by the right equipment, etc.? All these questions will need to be answered once you begin the process of fixing your garden and having the right equipment to do so is essential.
3. Trimming the grass
Many people believe that if they cut the grass very short, it will come back better. However, this is not the case. You will need to be strategic about how you cut the grass. Do not cut it too short or too often. If you cut it too short, you make it prone to the heat of the summer which will dry it out and also make it susceptible to weed and other pests that you do not want. This is why we believe that you should cut only a third of the length of the grass and no more. The mowing height should be approximately 5 cm as this will give you the perfect summer lawn as well as you should mow at the right time during the day. Mowing should be done during the cooler part of the day – early morning or evening.
