Heritage
A triumph of style, comfort and convenience, The Inchcolm Hotel combines the elegance and timelessness of an historically significant property with the personalised service and facilities of a boutique hotel.
Both the original building, The Inchcolm, and the 1930’s cage lift which still services the hotel, are heritage listed.
In 1999 the heritage listed section of the building was transformed from medical chambers to hotel suites and an extension added to the rear of the building created additional suites, a garage and the swimming pool between levels 3 & 4.
The suites within the heritage listed section of the building retain many of the original features of the property, including beautiful silky oak wall panelling and the old doors with their brass fittings.
The more contemporary suites of the extension have been carefully designed to be sympathetic in style to the original building.
In deference to the history of Brisbane and Queensland, the Suites are named after significant people or places of interest including Burnett, Gympie, Ashdown, Lockyer, Kidman and Miles.
